Girl or Boy...It's All the Same!

I'll never forget my big 20 week ultrasound during my first pregnancy.  Before finding out the gender I thought and would even say I want my first born to be a son.  Then I found out we were having a girl.  My reaction to finding out I was having a daughter and not a son probably didn't make sense.  I was ecstatic - through the roof excited!  Easily one of the best days of my life!

I don't know why I ever said I had a preference.  Suddenly all I wanted was a little girl.

And having a girl is perfect!

And shopping for a girl has been fun.  Just ask LKB.

Girls look cute in headbands.

You can really deck a girl out in fur - faux fur!

What girl doesn't look stunning in pearls?

Or wearing dresses.

That was all just a long winded introduction to my point.  I have my perfect girl and now I couldn't be more excited we're having a boy!  (Actually, based on experience, I would probably be just as excited no matter what the gender happened to be.)

I've been getting super great deals planning ahead for this little guy.  The deals online are incredible and the close couldn't be cuter!

One of the too many blogs I stalk follow posted, i don't know why everybody says that little girls are the most fun to shop for.  The blogger linked to so many adorable little man clothing and items that will drain my bank account our son must have.

These little manly items are so cute I can't stand it.

Seriously, check out the link above to the blog if you're ever going to have a baby boy, a grandson, or have a friend who will have a boy, or a neighbor that will have a boy, or have an unfortunate husband that wears 0 - 3 month clothing and likes sock monkeys.

In short, all genders are perfect.  Deep...  I know.

GAP love!

Today 7 of us girls, 4 of whom are 2 and under, hit up the Mall of America together.
I'll introduce you to the mall rats:

LKB - You know her.
Trish - LKB's other daughter-in-law, my sister-in-law and also one of my closest friends.
Finley - Trish's 2 year old, adorable, vivacious little girl.  She and Piper could pass for twins and are BFF's!
Willa - Trish's perfect 2 month old daughter.
Liv - Trish's other perfect 2 month old daughter.
Me - You know me.
Piper - You know her.

The little girls were great - we even made it through a practice lockdown with no tears!

Ok, I need to get on with my point.  GAP GAP GAP!

Have you been to the Gap lately?  I'm in love!

We started off at Baby Gap.  My goodness.  If I won the lottery or sold many many more Invisible Fences (that's my actual job) I'd have bought the whole store.

The 4 little girls got matching tutus and legging combos.  So cute I can't stand it.

Then we elevatored the double stroller, toddlers and ourselves down to the women's section.

There were bargains galore!  Yes, Bargains at Gap.

We all 3 bought different colors of cardigans on sale for $13.99 each!  Fun colors and everything!  I can't find pics online, but I'll tell you - THEY ARE CUTE!

The only problem is that LKB, Trish and I will have to constantly call each other before getting together to be sure we're not matching.  The little girls, on the other hand, we'll call to make sure they're matching!  :)

more shopping, but from the comforts of your home!!!

If we get the snow storm they are talking about for next week. You may have to do a little shopping from your nice cozy couch!
I found this website moments ago. I haven't completely checked it out... but I am planning to.
It looks really interesting. You can shop by "style". If you want Manhattan style, San Francisco, etc.
You can also put in your body shape and it will show you styles that will compliment you. If you want a certain color like black-- they will show black options. They have maternity Mickey!!!!!
check it out the prices don't seen too bad either!  Check it out here!
YAY!!! it's the weekend!!!!!!!  (I get to go on a fun retreat with GIRLFRIENDS!!!!)

Shopping!!!!!

If you need something to do this weekend- this is one of my top fun places to shop!!!!

Hunt & Gather

http://huntandgatherantiques.com/

We  have been there a few times- my husband found all his office furniture there.
Even if you don't need anything, it is a fun experience.
We shopped there before Christmas and they had fun and funky vintage Christmas decorations.

Last week daughter-in-law and I went, and they had little jars with fresh flowers scattered throughout the store. Sooooo nice!!!

Piper was happy with a sucker they gave her for on the way home.
We did manage to find a couple goodies to take home!!!!
