Ingredients:
- 1 pdg. hot italian sausage
- 1 medium onion – chopped
- 1 clove garlic – minced
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 large 32 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 sprig fresh basil – chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh parmesean
- 1 pkg. penne pasta
Method:
- Brown the sausage with onion and garlic in olive oil
- add the diced tomatoes
- add cream
- add chicken broth as needed – depending on how thick you want the sauce
- meanwhile cook pasta
- drain pasta and toss with sauce
- add parmesean and basil
- add salt and pepper
