Weekend Wrap Up

All in all a very fun weekend!!!
Friday night we started the weekend by going to  Mediterranean Cruise.
Our meals were great, steak & hummus, a greek salad- mmmm.
1 belly dancer appeared and AB went to the men's restroom when she came around for a tip, leaving Quinci and I to fend for ourselves. We were close to finishing when another belly dancer came running from the back with a silk scarf billowing behind her- not exactly who I would picture belly dancing, 60ish, slightly round, caucasian- ugh- we were so glad to be done.

Sat. I did Steven Be's with my sister-in-law, had fun, looked at yarn-bought yarn-
Then onward to Java Jack's for lunch- GREAT hamburgers, not huge, just good!

In the evening AB and I headed downtown to an Art Opening: Inside Out, The Self Portrait Show. Our main reason for going was to see Luke Hillestad's work.
He is a very accomplished artist, who has studied in Europe and elsewhere.
This is his self portrait- wow!

Luke is married to Michelle who dances with Gemini Tribe
She and her sister Rachel dance in many of the "hot" spots in the Mpls. area and now also around the US!
So glad we know them, they are creative, smart, interesting, young people.
This was held at the Henne Art Gallery

To end the night AB and I went to Origami Sushi Bar
Lychee Martini's, Lava Roll, Teriyaki Chicken- all REALLy good!

And then I met my new BFF Wendy, and her 5 friends celebrating a couple Birthdays- we became fast friends! "Hi Wendy"
AB bought them dessert- Mochi
Thank you for the great pumpkin cookie girls-

Tonight we head over to Quinci's friends house for dinner-
I'm bringing a Poppy Seed Cake with Lemon drizzle- recipe will follow shortly-

Sometimes unplanned weekends are the best- this one just happened to work!
